What we store

Job Profit Guard exists to protect a contractor's job profit, and it stores what that takes: your account details (name, email, phone), your business profile (business name, trade, rates, tax settings), your job records (contracts, budgets, daily check-ins, costs, completion, change orders, detected extras), the files you add (quotes, receipts, generated change-order PDFs), check-in transcripts, and your conversation history with Frank, the in-app assistant.

Voice recordings

When you record a check-in, the audio is sent for transcription and the server copy is deleted immediately once your words come back — only the text is kept with the job. A copy of the recording stays on your phone under your control. If you choose to store a recording with a job, that stored copy is automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days.

AI processing

Quote text, check-in words, and receipt images are sent to our AI provider to be read, using routing configured for no data collection and zero retention by the provider. Every AI suggestion — extracted numbers, scope items, receipt lines — is advisory: it is shown to you for review and nothing reaches your records until you confirm it. Frank can read your records; he can never change them.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with our hosting provider in Canada (Central). Files are private to your business: access is enforced at the database level, and no other account can read your jobs, files, or figures.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal data, we do not use your business records to advertise to you, and we do not share your data with anyone except the service providers that run the product (hosting, AI processing, and sign-in), each used only to provide the service.

Your controls

You can sign out at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all business data from Settings → Delete account and data — this removes your records, files, and conversations. For privacy questions, email support@jobprofitguard.app.
