What we store

Job Profit Guard exists to protect a contractor's job profit, and it stores what that takes: your account details (name, email, phone, profile photo), your business profile (business name, trade, rates, tax settings), your job records (your customers' names and contact details, contracts, budgets, daily check-ins, costs, progress, change orders, possible extras, final statements, and the history of every correction or deletion), the files you add (site photos, receipts, quotes, generated change-order PDFs and final job reports), check-in transcripts, and your conversations with Frank, the in-app assistant.

Crew accounts

An owner can invite crew. A crew member's account holds their name, email and profile photo. The days they file (hours, progress, notes, photos and voice notes) become part of the owner's job records, which the owner can see and correct. Crew never see job budgets, costs or profit.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us — nothing else from your Google account, and never your Google password. We use them only to create your account, sign you in and show your name in the app. We don't use them for advertising, we don't sell them, and we share them only with the providers below that run the product. Deleting your account deletes them.

Voice recordings

When you record a check-in, the audio is sent for transcription and the server copy is deleted immediately once your words come back — only the text is kept with the job. If that deletion ever fails, a nightly clean-up removes the recording within 30 days. A copy of the recording stays on your phone under your control. A voice note a crew member attaches to a filed day is kept with that day and automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days.

AI processing

Quote text, check-in words, receipt images and the questions you ask Frank are sent to our AI provider to be read, using routing configured for no data collection and zero retention by the provider. Every AI suggestion — extracted numbers, scope items, receipt lines — is advisory: it is shown to you for review and nothing reaches your records until you confirm it. Frank can read your records; he can never change them.

Problem reports

If you use Report a problem, we receive what you write, an optional screenshot you choose, the last few screens you visited, the app version, and your phone model and operating system. The report is emailed to our support inbox. No job figures, check-ins or files are sent with it.

Notifications, email and payments

If you allow notifications, your phone's notification token is stored so we can tell you, for example, that a crew day is waiting for review or that your plan changed. Sign-in codes, password-reset links and a note whenever your plan changes are sent by email. Subscriptions are bought and billed through Google Play; we never see your card details.

Our website

When you tap a Download button on jobprofitguard.app, we count the tap — which app and when — so we know how many people download it. We don't record who you are, your IP address or your device. The website itself has no ads, trackers or cookies.

Who processes your data

We share data only with the providers that run the product, each used only to provide the service: database and file hosting in Canada (Central), the AI provider described above, our email delivery provider, the notification service, and Google for Google sign-in and Play billing. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your business records to advertise to you.

Security

Your files are private to your business: access is enforced at the database level, no other account can read your jobs, files or figures, and files are only ever shown through short-lived private links.

Keeping, exporting and deleting your data

We keep your records while your account exists. You can take a copy at any time from Account → Export your data (spreadsheets, or a full backup file).

The database is backed up every night to a server we control, and each backup is kept for 14 days. Anything you delete drops out of the backups within 14 days.

You can permanently delete your account from the app: owners from Account → Delete account and data, crew from Account → Delete my account. An owner's deletion removes the business and everything in it — jobs, files, photos, reports and conversations — and ends their crew's access. A crew member's deletion removes their account; days they filed stay in their boss's records without their name. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

Without the app, email support@jobprofitguard.app from the address on the account and ask for deletion; we complete it within 30 days.

Your rights and contact

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you. Job Profit Guard is for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 16. Questions or requests: support@jobprofitguard.app.
